Played twice this weekend.
Saturday was a round at Willows, and I had some moments, but still very erratic off the tee. That is, mainly, what is killing me. It's hard to score when you're taking two shots to reach what your first tee shot should have because you're topping the ball all of the time. And my putting is not strong, so it was hard to recover. I had many opportunities to save bogey or par, but blew it.
Today was Washington National. I love this golf course. It is more of a second shot course -- you can hit a nice tee shot, but your second shot better be money or you're going to have a hell of a putt or chip on a green that is very unforgiving. Good course. Again, I had a pretty okay day until I mentally lost it on 18. Throwing that stupid hole out of the mix, and I had a fairly good round for me. I can feel it slowly coming back together.
Driving is still my issue. I need to get that really licked. Again, the putting didn't save me.
Anyway, we had that this weekend, and the block party which was a lot of fun. This week will be interesting, so check back later...I should have a lot of Deep Thoughts. :)
